Beast of Blood (1970) Date 26 June 21 Author Kevin Lyons 0 Comments A personal note In the review for this films predecessor, The Mad Doctor of Blood Island (1968), I wrote fondly of a particular still from the film that had appeared in Denis Gifford's 1973 book A Pictorial History of Horror Movies, noting that the hideously deformed monster seen crawling up Three elderly distinguished gentlemen are searching for some excitement in their boring borgoueis lives and gets in contact with one of count Dracula's servants In a nightly ceremony they restore the count back to life The three men killed Dracula's servant and as a revenge, the count makes sure that the gentlemen are killed one by one by their own sons It also launched the "Blood Island" franchise which would come to be one of the company's biggest hits, including Brides of Blood (1968), The Mad Doctor of Blood Island (1969), and Beast of Blood (1970)
